    When you do get the chance be sure to make a few posts in here. Some really interesting fights and definitely a lot of room for debate (well there normally is when me and you are scoring fights).

    Would love to debate the intricacies of some of the rounds with you, but they aren't all that clear in my head now after all this time since I've watched them.

    I will say though that some Griffith fights are pretty hard to score and I remember during the times I watched his fights I had plenty of temptations to score even rounds.

    Perhaps when I get the chance to review the fights I'll return to this thread with a more meaningful post :good

    I'm a big fan of Griffith's, but I must say that even his best fight IMO...vs Tiger the 1st time...was painfully close, just as were his two fights with Archer...and all this speaks nothing as to how close all the Rodriguez fights were. it was just intrinsic to Griffith's nature and boxing style that his fights tended to be close. You really have to be a fan to appreciate his rather clinical, "mechanic's" style. He was, despite it all, an excellent fighter...especially after the death of Benny Paret, when his entire approach to his craft changed and he became devoted to winning on points and forsaking the knockouts.

    I don't see Griffith-Paret II that close.

    I saw Griffith initiating his mauling inside game, Paret getting little chance to work at mid-range and the only effective work down by Emile.
