    As Emile and Jose are two of my favourite champions, I hate to pick one over the other. But, sometimes we must make tough decisions.
    Jose was slicker, but for all time greatness Emile Griffith would
    be my pick.

    After the Benny (Kid) Paret tragedy , Emile never was a vicious puncher, but he had the skills. For the 1960's, one of the best technical boxing wonders was the first Griffith - Joey Archer middleweight fight.

    To realy understand Emile, you must watch the documentary
    "Ring of Fire - The Emile Griffith Story"

    He was my favourite boxer before I saw the film, but after
    watching it, my appreciation for Griffith has jumped higher.
    The ending was so sad, but a true redemption for the CHAMP".
