Two greats at welter head 2 head .
15 rounds .Best out of 3 ,who'd win the series?

I love Pipino, but Emile has the jaw, workrate and skill level to handle Pipino every time. Griffith over 15 rounds.

Emile. takes all 3 bouts and two are decisions, 1 stoppage.

He'll box and take that left hook away. Take him out to deep waters and drown him for the stoppage. Or he can just box safely the last half of the fight taking minimal risks. Tough matchup for Pepino and he needs guys with a few more flaws.

I've got Emile winning the first but only just, by decision. Cuevas s fierce punching keeping it close. But by the rematch Emile is at his best winning on points by a wider margin. The third fight sees both down but Griffith storming back for a late rounds ko .

Cuevas was a wreaking machine but too one dimensional for a fighter as capable as Griffith was. Plus Griffith had a great chin and defense so it would be very unlikely Cuevas would stop him. I see Griffith winning a unanimous dec over Cuevas, but he would have a few rough spots in the fight.
