This is a great fight - Two P4Pers, two of the best fighters on film complete opposite ends of the fighting spectrum, great chins on them but 15 rounds? Griffith hurt guys like Tiger and Duran will be trying to scalp him I reckon someone gets chin checked here. Interesting thing will be the inside fighting, Duran likely gets crunched in the tie up EG was strong but Brown schooled him well, I think he might be too slippery there to lock up… anyway how’s it go?

The thing that makes me favour Duran here is the styles clash includes Duran's ability to work opponents who are stronger than him inside, but also his crazy ability to discourage guys who might dominate him inside (Hagler, Barkley, Palamino) to stay on the outside, even to go away, to try to outjab him, it's almost absurd. Anyway, Duran can hit Griffith on the inside even as Griffith handles him, that's for sure. The longer the fight the better for Duran but I think he would outwork Griffith with elegance.

Also, this match is made every seven years on here  Clockwork.

Hopefully in 2032 it will be at middleweight!

Hard fight because Griffith was a terror infighter at welter, but I believe Duran could beat him anywhere.

Griffith wasn't immortal in the inside still, some of his weaknesses are to mobile fighters and I think pre no mas Duran still had some feet in him to trouble Griffith, and I think he could beat Griffith on inside knowledge and trapping abilities too.

Some of Griffith's flaws in the clinch is hat at times he only grapples but doesn't really strike much except for pressuring, Duran may be able to exploit that.
