I have Emile here. All of these Simon Brown posts lately and I haven't been able to pick him even though he was one of my favorite fighter's back in the day.

You should do a Simon Brown vs Carlos Baldamor thread. I'll take him over that piece of **** easily.

Brown was matched versus Vernon Forrest lately, and that's fight where he's a solid favorite IMO.

No need to sink to the level of Baldomir to get Brown a win. But for the record, Brown would have slaughtered that ****** POS.

Yeah I had Simon in that Forrest matchup thread as well. I couldn't resist throwing Carlos in there knowing full well how bad Simon would tune him up. I read an article on yahoo a few weeks ago that there was a prison riot in Argentina were he was rumored to be among the dead. Unfortunately he was in a different wing of the prison and survived.

Regarding Simon Brown, he was definitely one of my favorites. He was on Show Box just before the COVID outbreak working the corner for a young prospect who's name escapes me.

    We're talking a different level.

Mike and Oscar never raped their daughters.

I'd love to go in detail, as I'm a big Griffith fan, and anyone who beats Norris is a guy I can like, but unfortunately I've only seen the Norris win, so I can't really comment. I just think from what I've seen, Griffith is too good for him.

There's only a 5/6 guys I'd ever pick over the best Griffith at 147

Brown is worth looking into more. He was already past his prime when he smashed the cherry picker Norris... hence why Norris fought him...

Virtually all his prime fights at 147 are on YouTube.

His first fight with Tyrone Trice was truly one of the all time best welterweight title fights. A classic war!

For a one sided showcase, check his total destruction of Jorge Vaca.

Brown had a problem with top-class technicians... hence why Starling and McGirt outclassed him. Those fights are on YouTube also.

Agreed. The Trice fight was a great one. He had some real solid wins in his career. Being that his is a two weight champ with so e very solid wins, do you think he ever gets in the Hall of Fame? Had he won the Starling and McGirt fights I would think he would be in for sure but even with those losses he had a solid career.

I doubt Brown ever makes the HOF, unfortunately. There's sooooooo many deserving guys who should be in, and never will be. Brown is one of them. The HOF is a joke. Starling isn't even in.

Brown was a level above Ray Mancini and Arturo Gatti, that's for damn sure.

Yeah, I've got this one my list already for the top 100 I'm working on.

Top 3 from Jamaica? Along with Glen Johnson and obviously McCallum.
