The Emile Griffith of the '66 fight with Dick Tiger vs the Leonard of the '87 fight with Hagler. 15 rounds.

It would be a close one. Since Ray isn´t at his best here I give the edge to Emile. Prime for prime, I guess Leonard wins.

    Griffith.

Griffith weighed in at 150 lbs that night, why not match him up with the Leonard of the Kalule fight

That's my assessment too. Only the best Leonard could beat Griffith.

Leonard was the more gifted but Griffith was tough and busy...I like Leonard by a close UD

Leonard was much more talented and matches up very well with slower technicians. The Hagler version doesnt' quite have the same stamina but Griffith wouldn't pressure him to make that count

I just think it needs the best Leonard to beat Griffith. Leonard wasn´t at his best against Hagler for sure.

Leonard by razor close decision, maybe split, controversial.

The Emile Griffith with killer instinct before the Benny Paret tragedy would beat Leonard by clear UD over 15 rounds.
