Jmm struggled vs floyd, In the same sense nonito was pwnd by rigo, who's by far the superior counter puncher.

Nonito became the agressive fighter and got countered

I thought it was just me that realized that. The assessment was clearly biased against Floyd. I can respect any Manny fan that provides a non-biased critique of both's strengths and weaknesses and come to a decision as to why one would defeat the other. This assessment was not strong at all.

Yes I'm a Pacquiao fan, and I'm just another poster who doesn't have to be unbiased but this is my attempt at an unbiased opinion. I wouldn't say I'm a Pac**** since I don't spend every waking hour trolling for him but I think he'll win and this was the reason why.:conf It's just MY opinion no big deal.

I agree with a lot of the OP, but I do not think it makes sense to equate Rios and Maidana and Algieri and Alvarez.

Still, the point stands. The JMM/Manny/Bradley point was very well put. The JMM that fought Floyd was at a style disadvantage and a weight disadvantage. He has a clear style cancellation with Manny, which is why they tend to make great fights.

I know it was a stretch, but I wanted to compared their recent comp and Maidana and Rios are somewhat similar. The Canelo and Algiei comparison was mainly just based on their youth.

Floyds only stoppage in the last 8 years is a sucker punch against a notoriously china chinned quitter, Lol @ Floyd stopping Pac.

Yeah I actually did miss it, I've seen it since I did the thread, someone else pointed that out, I was caught up real big in politics because of 9/11 and Bush when that match happened I'd drifted away from Boxing for a few years in the early 2000's. So from 2001 to about 2004 I missed quite a few matches.

One of the best reads to date. I agree Manny 8-4, 9-3 with a few parts of the fight Floyd being overwhelmed by Pacquiao ala like just before Ortiz launched a head. Many will put Floyd on the ropes like that many times and Floyds lack of activity and lack of urgency when he is behind in the fight will finish this fight with a slow burn like Hopkins does when he looses on points rather than taking any risks to avoid getting hurt just coast to a point loss.
