This is where I stopped reading.

 

first sentence : Pacquiao has never looked good in a fight!

second sentence : Pacquiao looked good against Barrera!

say what:huh

 

Saying paquiao is overrated is a little absurd

 

i think this are the reasons why a lot of people are obsessed to the p4p#1 guy:

- this guy was a nobody when he whooped MAB. no one, even probably my fellow pinoy's expected him to dominate the great MAB that night.
- he put up a valiant effort against EM ( i dont want to give the "cut" excuse ) although he lost.
( you have to consider that a "green" PAC has been fighting the BIG BOYS at that time so 1-1 is not really that bad )
- got a draw against JMM in PAC-JMM I. IMO PAC should have won, you can ***** all you want about him getting schooled etc. ( your scoring is SUBJECTIVE ) but if you know the judges scorecards that night then you should know that one of them scored the 1st round 10-7 insted of 10-6 (standard score if there's 3 KD's) which should have altered the outcome in favor of PAC.
- won PAC-JMM II. we know the outcome although IMO JMM should have won. but neverthelesss, he fought a guy who is a master counterpuncher and the fact that he's willing to fight a guy who was "supposedly" gave him a hell of "boxing lesson" the first match tells a lot about his courage.
- won the PAC-EM rematch. i respect your opinion about EM being shot/beaten by a nobody. but getting a rematch to a guy who beat you is a reasonable thing to do in this sport. so you can't blame him for that.
- won PAC-EM III ( same as above ).
- PAC beat MAB for the 2nd time. ( barely beating MAB?? give me a break lol )
- beat the **** out of Diaz. i know that Diaz was a paper champ but it was a new division. team PAC was probably still trying to see if he can carry his power to higher div.

best parts:

- made ODLH quit on the stool. you can cry about "shot", "dehydrated", "part-time-boxer" excuses. but you have to agree that few weeks before the fight, fu***n 90% of the world ( probably including you ) did'nt give him a chance of winning this let alone dominate the naturally bigger ODLH. you can look up to the old threads if you like.
- KTFO hatton in 2. "again" no one expected him to destroy him that early and in that dominant fashion ( well exept for roach ), we're talking about the 140lb king who was supposed to slow PAC by clinching and body-shots. contrary to your belief, i think this one is very impressive

.. in the end pac doesnt have much to offer than speed and power?? how about footwork, balance, and intelligence/ability to execute the fight plan? "blindly throwing his right hook and looking down" huh? that's what hattons camp was talking about in their 24/7.. "same move = hook then roll". exact move that caught hatton.

 

i completely agree, if you take away his blinding speed and his KO power he wouldn't be ****...

 

.. don't forget to take away his left foot, one eye, and right shoulder blade.. i bet he wont even be able to compete against a B-class fighter.. this PAC is such a bum
