    Rodríguez doesn't have a real standout quality but he is very well rounded and technically sound, his timing with the straight right has been impeccable so far.

    Rodríguez using his lead right like a jab, finding López with it like a homing beacon. López with pot shot southpaw jabs and the occasional straight volley but largely keeping the left hand sheathed, looking gunshy, perhaps grown leery of those left hooks that rocked him earlier. Rodríguez is throwing a 2-3 combo, right hand down the middle and then a left hook, causing López to scramble. Rodríguez is finding López with that combo despite the Nicaraguan's best efforts to avoid it, changing directions, skirting the ropes, leaving a breadcrumb trail of right jabs etc.

    Melo isn't a bad fighter but wasn't ready for this.

    Oddly his experience is greater in both rounds and bouts fought, but comparatively it was all trash.
