Rodríguez is baiting the lead from López, walking in and feinting or jabbing halfway to target. López with some right jabs up from a crouch but not in any hurry to give Rodríguez any countering opportunties, boxing very carefully to a fault. Rodríguez finds him with a right and López shows a good chin but still lacking in confidence. López with a southpaw 1-1-2 but hitting arms. Nasty head clash near the bell.

Rodríguez is coming in a little bit less focused and eating some of López's right jabs. There is swelling over Rodríguez's eye from that headbutt. He seems to be not seeing punches as well because of it. López having some success blocking the lead right of Rodríguez and then shooting a quick hard right jab into that damaged eye tissue.

Rodríguez is managing pretty well now with the cut/swelling. López still targeting it with right jabs but Rodríguez doing a good job of catching him on the way in with the left jab or lead right - or both paired together. Nip and tuck round with López moving on the outside, Rodríguez in cold pursuit, with a glacial pace, feet moving through molasses in stark contrast with his fast hands.

Rodríguez is bossing it with the left jab disintegrating López's right jab in midair, then drilling him with straight rights to head or, most often, body. López doing a lot of sitting against the ropes and corner turnbuckles. Little return fire aside from the right jab by López. Rodríguez with a very strong last thirty seconds or so, landing several punches.
