Glad it wasn’t just me. Yep, that’s how I saw it too. He circled Gaballo plenty and often started that by slipping the jab. It was a pure boxing performance. He wasn’t afraid to engage either. Gaballo getting wobbled by jabs is testament to his sharp countering. Really odd scores.

Yeah, though my card was close, I felt like it leaned about as far as it possibly could in favor of Gaballo. But even in a number of rounds that I gave to Caballo, Rodriguez's sharp counters could still have given him the edge. Plus, Gaballo should have had a KD called against him in the 4th since the ropes seemed to hold him up off a counter. In all honesty, this is indeed kind of a robbery.

What wasn't a robbery, after watching it back, was Russell-Payano. Russell was getting a lot of work done in the clinches and typically limited Payano's clean punching to one or two bursts a round. Lots of rounds were close, but 58-56 GAR was not only perfectly acceptable, but is now my scorecard.

Yeah, exactly. I was surprised he didn’t jump on Gaballo when he was shook but he was wise not to as he certainly wasn’t ready to do. Gaballo is fun, I’m happy to watch him again but I don’t think he’s that good. Feel for Rodriguez here.

Oh really? As I say, I didn’t really score it, was more just the feeling I took away from the fight.

I think that Gaballo didn't prepare or expect a runner in this fight.

There was a last minute change as we all know. He was suppose to fight Velasquez who was a brawler. Rodrgiuez was fighting nonito. Clearly was going to run against Nonito based on this performance. It was close fight to me. I don't see a robbery. I thought Rodriquez missed his fair of shots. His Jab and occasional rights were eye catching here and there is not enough. He is not the champion in this fight or is he the A-side. I don't think he has earned those privileges. He has to take it..

Gaballo does seem to have a glass chin lol...Good experience against that style. He honestly hasn't fought a runner before so...

That was as big a rip off as I have seen.

Close fight. Zolt’s punches were better. But he didn’t followup .
