    Hot take (for Box24)

    Honestly, I have no issues with Russell getting the nod. Pretty much every round was close, save for the sixth. A scorecard going either way would have been acceptable given how the fight unfolded.

    Round 1:

    van Heerden goes on the move at the start, but isn't able to keep Ennis from tracking him down. Ennis goes southpaw and lands a sharp left hand, then begins to play percussion on the body. A couple of sharp punches to the head rattle the South African and though he valiantly fights back off the ropes he;s getting pasted. Unfortunately for all involved, the two clash heads and Ennis steps forward to press and van Heerden bounces off the ropes. BAD cut on van Heerden, which just GUSHES blood. Needless to say, the fight is called after that. Since 4 rounds haven't been completed, it's a No Decision.

    Bad luck with Unintentional Butts so far.

    at least this presents the oportunity for ennis to finally step up from domestic opposition, almost 30 fights already.
