WBSS bantamweight quarter-final is taking place on october 20th in Florida alongside Dorticos vs Masternak. The winner will fight Inoue sometime early next year, but for the fight itself who are you guys picking? Does Moloney have a chance to upset Rodriguez or will Rodriguez prove to be too skilled for the aussie?
Rodriguez looked really, really good in his last fight vs Butler BUT Butler is a domestic level fighter imo, his record is padded and once he stepped up and went above british level he was stopped by Tete. I do not rate Butler at all. Moloney is better than Butler imo so it should be more competitive i think but i scored Rodriguez vs Butler a shutout for Rodriguez so no big deal to have a more competitive fight than that. Rodriguez wins by an UD, probably something like 9-3 or 8-4, can see at least a knockdown here as Moloney is a hyper aggressive fighter and there is a big chance he will get caught by some big hands sooner or later if he is behind on the cards.
I think this is a close fight on paper and it will be a close fight in the ring, Masternak showed he can take a punch and has a solid chin but i expect Dorticos to take him out in the late rounds. If it goes to the cards i think Masternak has a realistic chance to win.
