I'd rather listen to Emmanuel Lewis call a fight. The one thing that pisses me of about Steward is that no matter how the fight goes he says..."this fight is going EXACTLY the way I thought it would go". He said this twice in the Cotto/Margarito fight. The first time he said it was when Cotto was dominating the fight. Then after the fight he said that it went exactly the way he said it would. Which one is it???

He could be right. A lot of people who predicted Margo winning did say he might get out boxed early but would eventually wear down Cotto and knock him out.

    To quote the great ES.
"This fight went EXACTLY the way I thought it would go".
And it did, I called it the same way.

    Bert Sugar called it best.

Stewart was completely unbiased for Calzaghe-Hopkins as well as Cotto-Mosley - hell, he was the only announcer giving Mosley any credit whatsoever amid the Cotto lovefest.

Early in the fight Stewart was the first to point out that the fight was being fought at a high pace, and expressed doubted in Cottos ability to keep boxing at that pace.

You are right. I looked at Burt Sugar's analysis before the fight and it went exactly according to what he sad. The man called the upper cut being the punch to end Cotto.

Bert Sugar/Boxing Historian - Famed Writer: Miguel Cotto has a habit of coming in with his head down which leaves him open to Margarito's best punch which is his left uppercut. Margarito is a mean punching machine and every shot comes with bad intentions. He threw a record 1,675 punches in his fight against Joshua Clottey. I couldn't take 1,675 breaths in 12 rounds. Who ever wants to know what Margarito has to do to win, well, do what he's always does.

I'm over Lampley, he's nothing short of a proud kneepad doting announcer for HBO. His bias for Cotto and so many other HBO fighters is unreal. Steward balanced Lamps out by noting that Cotto was winning the battle but losing the war. Lampley was also all over Jermain Taylor's jock during his first fight with Pavlik while Pavlik was breaking him down. Not much worse than a corporate sellout and that's what Lampley is. And enough with the crying routines when his fighter gets his ass kicked.
