Maybe I'm being harsh on Sr but I think he was a detriment to Oscar's career. De La Hoya tried to use the shoulder-roll against Gatti and Vargas. I'm sure he used it a lot more often but those two stick out because I remember him taking a lot of shots that he didn't have to. Vargas had tremendous success in the first half of the fight, hitting him with more clean shots than anyone had before.

Even Gatti, who was severely over-matched, was able to land a few bombs and it was because Oscar was trying to use a defence that he wasn't suited to.

I think Sr works well with guys like Guzman, who suit the Mayweather style. Otherwise, I'm not convinced.

Emanuel Steward can do alot for Khan. Teaching him balance, footwork, tactis and so on. Emanuel Steward is a much better trainer than Freddy Roach.

But i doubt if Khan wants to learn. This is the key for the sucsess Emanuel Steward/Wladimir Klitschko or Emanuel Steward and Lennox Lewis. The two wants to learn from Steward.

No, I agree with you here. When he leans in though, he doesn't crouch down or use head-movement, which is why I think he's so easy to catch. He tends to move in-and-out in straight lines.

If he could duck, slip or move at the waist, I'd have more confidence in him using a shoulder-roll type of defence.

He should stay loyal to Roach.

After the Prescott KO he dumped and blamed his coach, now the same with roach. **** he needs to relax and stop trying to be a hero. No more twitter bull**** and overlooking opponents to mega fights.

I think that due to the way in which Khan is talking about looking at other trainers it would seem that he is on his way out of the wildcats gym.

Also if I was Roach I wouldn't want the arrogant little **** in my gym, especially when he's going around talking like he is.

To trainer will make Khan great, he is what he is. A good fighter who has been managed well to get people actually believing that he is an elite fighter.

How exactly did he blame his trainer, you twat?

He blamed himself. He just feels he needs a new trainer.

Problem with Steward is that every fighter win or lose, leaves him after awhile, he's a good trainer to have for 2 or 3 fights to correct some things on a fighter but they always leave him for another trainer.

When I read De La Hoya's book he said Steward's style of training was too lackadaisical and that he only like to train a fighter 4 times a week, but he did also say that Steward helped him put more power to his punch and developed a better killer instinct in him. Khan would benefit from putting more power into his punch I have to say.

IF it keeps EManny off the HBO announce team I'm 100% for it.
He stinks as a whatever his role is considered there.

Maybe Roach can spend more time w/other fighters now.

Khans chin will always be weak, hes always gonna get found out at top level. He might as well stick with freddy roach... hes foolish thinking its freddy's fault. But like most muslims hes delusional

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't his trainer for the Prescott fight someone he'd not been with for long? Whereas with Roach he's progressed about as far as he's ever going to.
