I agree with that. People call it a "beating" but I just say that MAB used his advantage in skills to outsmart and beat Hamed to the punch. It was close to a beating but I wouldn't call it that. I think even a few of the judges had Barrera up by 3.

Ignore FH, he's a troll that shouldn't be taken seriously.

Please, STEWARD was all wrong for Hamed. Steward was completely lost in trying to train Hamed and almost cost him a couple fights. He's a one-dimensional trainer.

I swear this is the first time I ever heard of "one dimensional trainer."

agreed, i was only starting to follow boxing when hamed was fighting and what i remember of him was that he shamelessly ducked MArquez although Marquez was his most credible challenge at 126

gotta love this mexicans. there are barrera fans, there are morales fans and there are marquez fans. i wished there were three Pinoy great fighters who fought at the same weight classes at the same time and so pinoys could argue with another about who was whom's daddy

Pacquiao employed a fighting style more crude than that of Hamed's on his 126lbs fight with Marquez and it ended with a draw. it was never a schooling, Though Marquez won more rounds, he ended up with a bloody nose, picked himself up from the canvass three times and a lot of rounds he won were very close and could have been scored for either fighter. and all Pacquiao had going for him was his physical abilities

Too bad all that history will show is JMM never fought MAB, Morales or Hamed in their prime. Hamed atleast fought a prime MAB, even if he was cherry picked.

Low ball/short notice offer or not, Marquez was a ****ing nobody and could not afford to turn it down. The fact he also turned down a Pac rematch to fight Chris John in Indonesia for 30K speaks volumes of his stupidity.

He didn't get the recognition his fans feel he deserved due to him, no one else. Just like how he lost the first Pac fight because he was arrogantly over confident in that first round and got his ass knocked down three times. He was to blame, not the judges. They actually did him a favor in that fight.

I love JMM, my fav current fighter by far

Naz at his best can beat him (by his best i dont mean the Naz of the Barrera fight, if you think thats his best then you know nothing about Naz), and also MAB/EM/PAC (yes Pac when he was down the weights)

You dont recover quick when Naz hits you.

Ridiculously underrated (mostly by haters), a one off.

spot on. Hamed had fought ten future/past/current world champs but he was scared of a guy no one had even heard of? People forget, before JMM fought Gainer he wasn't even a blip on the screen. No one knew he would become great, except maybe his mother.

Thanks for reminding me of that "fight". It was going into the forgotten portion of my brain until now.
