This IBF CW Eliminator is on the Haye/Harrison undercard. Has Hayemaker done a deal with the Germans? Edmund Gerber is up against Colin Kenna as well. On a Brit PPV I was hoping for more home grown talent.
Hayemaker lost all their home talent when Setanta went bust. Unfortunately they weren't able to get a deal with sky for whatever reasons. David Haye and George Groves are it as far as I'm aware.
I note that, but Matchroom are also involved, and both promoters could have won purse bids on other British fights in order to make the bill meaningful, especially as HW bout can be over quickly
Nah Matchroom aren't involved. Eddie Hearn gets a share because he's manager of Audley Harrison but I don't think Matchroom have any say in this fight. Obviously they need Haye way more than Haye needs them. I am kind of surprised and disappointed at such a poor undercard though. With in reality what is an awful mismatch of a main event, I would've thought that they would be keen to have at least 2 or 3 good undercard fights. I guess Groves-Anderson and Hall-Davies are decentish fights in fairness.
I am gutted about the Ashley Sexton pull out as he was my tip at the start of the year. Hall v Davies is standard Saturday Fight Night Fayre, and as far as I am concerned is a padding bout to kill off the best part of an hour of the allotted time. I am astonished Groves was not on the original schedule
