Hey guys just whats your thoughts now for MMA with Affliction ending?

Just saw a smug look on White's face in another post holding a tombstone. But is this good for MMA.
With no Affliction doesn't this mean UFC is now gonna start monopolising MMA.

Im not sure on this but im not really feeling how much power Dana has on his fighters. UFC fighters I here earn peanuts:huh Dana also controls to some degree there sponsorship im referring to this whole EA deal and the new implementation of shirt sponsors

    What are your thoughts?
Is it a good thing that UFC controls MMA

Top Fighters will never really have a viable alternative to the UFC until MMA goes through a boom period in Japan again and that looks a long way off.

IMO, it's bad. The UFC is the dominant promotion and is responsible for the sport reaching mainstream popularity, but it's still only one promotion. I want to see as much MMA as possible. While the UFC may have most of the top talent, there are still plenty of vets and up and comers in smaller orgs that deserve some press.

Without a strong Japanese scene they have nowhere really to go.

Thats a real shame. If thats the case I can imagine the UFC being more unjust with there contracts and pay scale. Either u take it or you dont eat :bart

It's good in a way cuz fedor should finally be able to fight in the ufc. I've been waiting for fedor to step in the octagon since pride ended.

Monopoly is always Bad for the Sport cause Fighters like Aoki,Hansen,Fedor,Kawajiri,Alvarez,Mosuasi,Gomi,JZ,Misaki, and others doesnt like exclusivity and Orgs like Affliction,Strikeforce,Sengoku,Dream arent providing that thus letting the fighters earn more money outside of their Orgs

The Thing is Unless Dana will pursue his Exclusive Deal with Fedor, Fedor will not sign with the UFC forever

Dana wants all options on Fedor. That wont be happening. So i doubt well ever see Fedor in the UFC. He simply doesnt need them.

What options are left for Fedor? Where can he sign and fight for that will give him exposure and revenue? I know there's strikeforce but are there any other options?

M-1 StrikeForce Dream Senkogu to name a few. But to be honest Fedor wants to do whats best for himself as well as competing in his Sambo tourny's. He doesn need or desire a slave contract from Dana that wants ALL options on him.

I find it funny that Dana always manage to criticise Fedor but always manages to forget that Mirko and Noguiera were both beaten by Fedor in there prime.

He has questioned who has fought and who he has beat in the past.

so I guess Noguiera wasnt a top 5 UFC HW at the time of this comment from Dana?
