He can still give a few years of good boxing, it's not the end for him...

No excuse for Parker to have been the one to get caught late due to composure and tiredness. Wardley seemed equally if not more exhausted. The more expieranced Parker should have came in lighter to help his gas tank and box to a plan.

He had a small run of basic plodders who move very slowly walking into his power as a route to victory but that run is now over.

At 33, hardly old for a heavyweight and still capable of beating all but the best. Entirely his call.

Parker might not get back to mandatory position again given the frequency HWs fight these days and his mileage but he can make many millions during the remainder of his career.
I really like him for his humility and that he doesn’t duck any fighter. I’m a Brit (well, Irish English) but was supporting him against Wardley.

    Lots of Brits support Parker

There is a good case for retirement - but he won't take it

Really mate? I don’t see it. 2 weeks ago he was the number 2 HW in the world. I think he’s got lots left in him.

    Hmmm. Agreed.

Personally I would love to see him retire wealthy and healthy.

But I think he will fight on - and maybe that is the right decision.

    Only time will tell

He will drop 10-15 lbs, win a few soft touches and get another payday at least.

Universally accepted as a good guy. He could certainly continue but only against soft touches. He has fallen down the ladder below younger guys like Dubois, Kabayel, Utama, Wardely, and maybe others. Hard to see him as a legit contender anymore and it would be very sad to see him merely as a notch on other guys belts. Let's hope he doesn't take on too many difficult boxers. Soft touches into a well earned retirement. A trilogy with Mark De Mori? NZ vs Australia?

I think he has one more decent run left in him.

He'd need to be pretty active though as he isn't the youngest fighter these days.

He'll be back for one more run. Lose ten pounds, box a bit better...he could win a rematch. Or, just go on another decent run and wait for the titles to vacate.

Remember that most fans think it was a quick stoppage.

Fortunately for him, the likes of Dubois and Joshua also seem to be in the "just lost, need to rebuild" category ATM, so I don't think a fight against either of them is implausible. He could also position himself as a "step up" fight for Itauma; even if Warren would be sending him in as a sacrificial lamb, I would genuinely fancy Parker's chances if he could negate the first few rounds. Lastly he would be an attractive first fight for Opetaia when he steps up to heavyweight; given even the likes of Zerafa vs Horn were big in Australia, a fight vs Opetaia would be the biggest fight in recent antipodean history. Overall if Parker does fight on, I only hope the last few fights of his career are meaningful, whether he wins or loses.

I’m Parker’s number one hater @CST80 can vouch for me but I don’t think he should retire. It was an early stoppage. Fury was way more hurt against the goat Usyk yet he wasn’t stopped. Joyce absolutely clobbered and beat the **** out of Parker but I feel like Parker got the short end of the stick here.
