endurance training

    What are the best ways to build endurance?

    You will have to be more specific, or you will end up with answers like:

    Aerobic exercise.

    You have to do anaerobic sprinting etc and aerobic work jogging etc.

    Pushing yourself for 3 mins is anaerobic stamina.

    Recovering during the 1 minute break is aerobic stamina.

    Hi. I just started training with goal of getting in the ring. I've always considered myself fit. But I die early in trainig so lookin for way to improve that.

    So just go as hard as I can for 3m and improve it?

    No, thats not what I mean. If you do that your aerobic stamina wont develop that fast. It will develop just not as fast as it could or to the level that it can. It might seem odd but that methodical long cardio is what gives you that ability to recover quickly. You train fast to maximize the effort you can give in a round. You train long so you can recover in that 1 min and go round after round.

    HIIT runs mixed with long runs during the week.

    Toss in some plyometrics.

    Try TABATA drills. Look it up.
