Talk about impressive. Fought easily the toughest opponent of the night and dispatched him. Which Josh Clottey couldn't do. Showed a solid chin, power in both hands and a relentless, straight forward approach. Reminded me a little of Pavlik. Just kept coming forward with straight right hands and combinations. He's only 25 years old and this was his 13th fight.

As for Gamboa, anyone who says his performace wasn't a disappointment is kidding themselves. Main Event on HBO, all the hype in the world and he can't even drop a fighter with two losses who hasn't fought in a year. Don't get me wrong, Jimenez was game, but a true superstar gets rid of him.

i see nothing special in angulo he reminds me on margarito a little bit he doesnt get enough leverage on the legs when he throws his combinations especially his punches to the body he is a little faster than marg. i believe but his punches doesnt have the fluid motion tha promotes power he also has a very high output and is very easy to counter but guitierres punches were very wide, when cotto goes up after he cleans out 147 in about 2 ys if angulo is a champ a guy like cotto will expose him i dont see angulo as a future star he will be a pretty good fighter like margarito but not elite

Margarito is a very good fighter. If you're comparing Angulo to him after 13 fights, Angulo is a good place.

I thought Angulo gets hit way too much. He definetly needs to tighten up that defense.

He does get hit a little too much, but he showed a solid chin. Took some flush shots and didn't bat an eyelash. Seems like all "prospects" for the most part need to tighten their defense. His offense was impressive, though.

Angulo's problem will be his stamina. He's breathing hard around rd 3 & 4. He seems almost lost his legs to early. Somebody sturdy, with a A gOOD CHIN and stamina will Ko him Late in the fight.

    Kirkland is the Real Deal.

Yeah well Clottey also didnt get hurt like Angulo did. Clottey would **** Angulo he's too slow and leaves himself wide open.
