cotto has seen too much wars and is already shopworn but i hope he can turn back the time and surmount the big odds he is against (floyd is 8-1 favorite to win).

Cant believe people are going with Cotto... Cotto is going to get busted up when people going to learn, theres no one better than Mayweather no one.. Not even Manny Pac he would get stopped as well.

It's funny. It really is lose lose for Floyd.

He's moving up in weight class and fighting the number 1 guy in that division, in a fight that would likely be up there as one of the top 3-5 biggest selling fights possible in the sport today.

Against a guy who seems rejuvenated and on a confidence high.

But if Floyd doesn't go in there and dominant, he's not likely to get much credit.

    Tough world, it is.

But if you're earning millions of dollars, I suppose you can't complain.

Look what Pac did to him, he ****ing embarresed him, Mayweather a naturally bigger guy than Pac is in for a tough fight even thoe there is no one in this world close to Mayweather..

Not really sure what you're saying, but I agree that Cotto will provide Mayweather with some trouble early on.

I do have a feeling Mayweather stops Cotto though, even though I know the smart pick/bet is on Floyd by decision.

Way I see it Floyd, Sergio, Marquez, and Manny those guys are in a league of their own. Unfortunately for Miguel he does not belong in that league. Some fighters grow stronger after a defeat. What Cotto does have going for him is Pedro Diaz who's turned out to be an exceptional trainer. Cotto seemed unconfident of himself Diaz seems to have strengthen it. His offense never in question, but his defense has. I think Diaz is perfect for Cotto and if Cotto shows no fear he can give anyone hell. I think also Miguel uses the ring too much and not how he's supposed to, but ever since Diaz climbed aboard Cotto has improved. As long as Cotto has confidence he can surprise anyone.

it's not a lose-lose for floyd. he picked a money fight where the risk is not much high. floyd already said that its all about earnings and is not too concerned with his legacy now.

    All fights are risks.

Floyd is certainly favourite, but Cotto is no slouch. And Floyd ain't gettin' any younger, and his legs are what they used to be.

To have no option but to go out and dominate the best JMW in the world when you're a small WW at that, is lose lose and a tough situation.

A close win and Floyd gets no credit. A loss, and Floyd gets flamed for the remainder of the year (or next few).

This is boxing. Anything can happen.

But you will note that I have picked Floyd by stoppage. Just sayin'

of course cotto is still a risk. but floyd could have fought pac, which is much more risky and a legacy defining fight. also he could have fought martinez at 154 and is also a better legacy defining fight. and floyd is not that small a WW. he has been figting at the weight for 6 /7 years now. cotto is not a JMW. he is small for that weight and is actually a WW. but i agree that with floyd's current odds against this version of cotto, floyd must dominate him and should stop him impressively or peopel would be disappointed with him.

    Mayweather UD.

It's the first fight that I actually want Mayweather to lose, partly because I like Cotto but moreso because im a bit of a **** and I think it would be funny as ****.
