The guy is hyped like crazy by the Canadians on this board and it's all completely unwarranted. The guy has done nothing.. He's a glorified club fighter. Rico Hoye is ****. If Hoye was any kind of threat at all, he would've knocked Diaconu on his ass. Diaconu is so open for counters, it's not even funny. Guy has no technique. He just walks you down and wails away with his wide looping punches.

If Diaconu is a hypejob then so were Mike Tyson, Shane Mosley, and Kostya Tszyu....they all have similar styles so I guess they were hypejobs before they won a championship:-(

 

Hey and I thought I was the only one who noticied it. That shoulder roll was definitely effective for Dawson, it's too bad he dumped Mayweater Sr. I still think Dawson should go back to him, hell he can to any other Mayweather, (Jeff or Rodger) as long as he doesn't stay with Mustafa. Dawson even looked better when he was with Dan Birmingham. But if Dawson decides to stay with Mustafa I still think he can improve and fix some of his defensive problems.

 

His defense regressed alright, but your right about everything else, and I'm probably wrong about Mustafa.

 

You're nothing in the business without a decent chin. Dawson express train came to a stop on Saturday night. Johnson is a fairly light puncher yet had Dawson on ***** street a couple of times during the course of the fight, this bodes very badly for his future.

 

But he was never KO'ed, and after getting hit by some hard shots by Johnson, (and their was plenty) he still came back in the next round fighting back. Johnson is not a light puncher, he has 32 KO's, and knocked out some tough men. If anything this fight proves that Dawson does have a good chin.
