I used to hate Khan but seeing how much he hate he gets for no reason, i cant help but root for him. Ive come across threads posted by people like my friend above who i was debating with, threads that have taken whatever Khan has said out of context and twisted around to mock him.

E.g Khan says "i want to be on the same level as Pac and Floyd next year"
Haters: Khan Says he can beat Pac and Floyd next year

    Bull**** like that.

He's being forced to fight. He gets a tiny little bit of credit for not vacating, although I am sure his team considered it. He's finally fighting someone who can punch, so what?! You are a "world champion." That's what you are supposed to do. No other world champion gets credit for fighting someone who isn't feather-fisted. No other world champion gets credit for fighting their mandatory. This is a joke.

Jerome, you told me you criticise other fighters just as much as you do of Khan.

I haven't noticed you giving 1/4 of the amount of slack to Haye about the farce of a fight which we all saw last weekend.

This is why I clearly label you a Khan hater.

Yeah Frank Warren said that hed have Bradley and Maidana lined up? and whose to believe anything that comes out of his mouth. Obviously he woudl say that now that Khan has left him.

Khan is a young up and coming fighter, he hasnt taken the path of least resistance, he is taking the correct steps to bring him upto the world level, thast where good tough decent journeymen like Paulie M come into play. Rather than jump in the deep end straight away, similar to what Adamek is doing at heavyweight, taking each fight at a time.

Like him or not, Khan is going to be around boxing for quite some time, Maidana is one of those guys who nobody will remember this time next year.

And thats what he is going to do, wipe the floor with Maidana and then give him a job cleaning the toilets in his uncles Kebab shop on high street

Yeah I've seen those threads, they are pretty pointless really. I've done a complete U turn on my opinion of Khan, he gets way too much **** on these forums which is not justified. All he can do is keep winning and hopefully these clown who put him down will just get bored with hating on him.

Frank didn't say that after Amir left. When Amir was still with Frank, both Bradley's and Maidana's people said that Frank had been in contact about a fight. That's a fact. Another fact is that Khan then did the dirty on Frank, GBP paid off Maidana, and then Khan went and fought Paulie "Hands of Feather" Mailinaggi.

Khan is a fantastic fighter and I believe it's gonna be either him or Pac that ends Floyd's undefeated streak.

    Yeah I said it.

Forget why you think Khan agreed to the fight for a second: will you give him credit if he beats Maidana?

And I agree with you about Khan's route to the top being easy as ****... he's a bit manufactured so far, but considering he was a household name before he even turned pro it was always gonna be that way.

He's still only young and seems to be interested in big fights from here on, so I think the days of him getting an easy ride are drawing to an end. He's trying to build a rep with HBO and US audiences, and the way for him to do that is to fight big names.

If he beats Maidana and goes on to fight the winner of Bradley-Alexander you can't deny that he'd have assembled a pretty nice resume since winning the title. It's easily within his grasp.
