Okay, so why not buy your way out of the contract and get back to the table and see if that 8 Million is still there? :think

they are using the Floyd getting away from Arum as justification, he and Arum have problems like what? its not Bobs fault that Floyd isnt a draw.

He and Oscar were supposed to fight that Spetember. After Oscar said he wasn't fighting until next May, HBO set aside Nov. for Floyd's next fight.

Floyd can only sell tickets when he fights a really popular fighter. Like Oscar, Hatton, and Gatti. His fight with Baldo did sell well and around the 6 round Merchant commented that many people were leavn the fight. Either way Floyd will neve get the balls to fight Margo or the other top fighters still in there prime!

Actually the way I think it ended up playing out, was that Floyd was set to fight Baldimor for the WBC Strap and 8 Million again the Floyd supporters use that to argue why Floyd didnt fight Tony, they say 8 Million is the same kind of money and its for the linear title:roll:

The real reason is, well you just watched on Saturday.

Did you not just read what I posted? Arum wanted the rights to a PACKAGE of fights.

Bob is a businessman, he didn't want to give Floyd $8 million for just one fight and get nothing out of future fights. It makes no sense for him. If he gives Floyd $8 million, and Floyd wins and goes on to bigger money because of that fight, do you honestly think Arum wouldn't want his cut? After all, he just paid for Mayweather's "exposure" with the Margarito offer... you don't think he would demand some type of compensation in the Oscar fight?

There is no such thing as $8 million with no strings attached. This isn't Fantasy Island.

Then why when asked by press did Arum state that it was 8 million free and clear? No strings attached!

its a good set of excuses to use in order to make yourself not look like your scared, Floyd is pointing the finger at everybody but himself, again the man ducked margarito, was called out by the man face to face and Floyd stood there and stuttered like a *****.

If Baldo was a lineal champ at ww than Lineal dont mean **** anymore. I dont see why people dont understand why Floyd cherryed picked Baldo instead of fightn Margo or the other top fighters. After the fight between Cotto and Margo I think it ia a safe bet to make that Floyd stays retired instead of smearing his makeup. So does Wlad have to get Lewis outta retirement and beat him to be the lineal champ?

This is after the fact, and a flat out lie. I just posted a link to a 2006 article. When did he say there were no strings attached? I guarantee you it was after this interview.

As I said, there is no such thing as $8 million with no strings attached.

Fact is, Floyd agreed to fight Margarito for 8, but wanted 10 for Cotto and Hatton. Arum did not want to give him the money, plain and simple. (Judging by the succes of Hatton/Floyd, he should have.)

If Bob Arum would have shelled out the cash, you guys would have the fights you are crying for. Think with your heads and not your emotions. This is a business and the PROMOTERS have most of the power when it comes to making a fight happen, not the boxers.

Arum didn't think he would get a return on his investment if he paid Mayweather the money he asked for. He was wrong, and now he is mad he missed out on millions of dollars. That is a FACT.

Floyd lies all the time. I'm not on here saying something is definately true just because Floyd said so.

Maybe victor should look up what pride means and explain it to Floyd. Floyd ducked Margo and all the other top fighters for years. Retiring was the best thing. You know he pulled up his skirt and ran.
