    I don't know about anyone else, but I'm really getting tired of Roach's routine. He is the TRAINER. His job is to TRAIN the fighter. End of story. Manny already has a promoter and a manager who's job is to make the decisions about who his opponents should be. Roach should keep his snout out of that, and focus on training the fighter. If he has an opinion about who he thinks might be a good opponent, then he should share that opinion privately with Arum, and NOT put it in the media every other day.

    I cannot sense what FR is cooking bro. These are my only opinion, its up to you how will u gauge it;

    1. Pac already signified his interest for a 2010 election. A Hatton's fight for next year's attraction maybe compromised;

    2. The 25% primed Hoya is scheduled for a legacy fight with 20% prime Tito. Manny is also worthy and can demand to steal the show from Tito. A Hatton's legacy fight maybe made what ever the outcome of 2010 election.

    3. Technically, for FR, who once handed Hoya, Hoya is hittable by small guns. Steve Forbes proved it. A prime-peaking Pac will be more damaging to a legend.

    4. Lastly, the Roach-Pacman tandem is now in the sunset stage. Both party needs to take home their biggest social security - For Pac to finance his political bid and for FR to attend his alchimy.

    For Bob, with or without Manny and FR . . . business as usual. imo

    I dunno which interest is FR protecting here..

    i used to like roach as a trainer, and as a trainer i think he is one of the better ones, but he seems to be doing a lot more mouthing off than other trainers except for maybe uncle roger. train up and shut up roach, putting your boy againt oscar is a bad move and manny himself said he would draw the line at 140 after he beat diaz. did he not hear that??

    He proved nothing of the sort!!! The DLH Forbes fight was a DLH virtual shut-out snore-fest

    Roach is a great trainer, but he needs to rein his mouth in

    bottom line is that they chose the easiest oponnent at 135 in david diaz.

    every other decent fighter at 130 moved to 135 as manny did.

    so why now move to 135 and fight valero or soto who were at 130 when he was wbc champ there?

    fight a legit 135 if they are available, not soto! guzman already beat him at 130.

    oh and btw i dont think manny could last the full 12 with hatton. 126-130-135-140 against the linear champ who is all action just aint happenin for a small (in build) fighter.

    Roach is itching to collide his boy Packy with Hoya...

    Well Roach does have a point, a Soto or Valero won't do much. Maybe he wants Packy to fight top fighters as long as he can before he melts out.

    FR is squeezing out the substance that he can extract from his prize pupil up to the last drop.

    Too much squeezing can be lethal most of the time...

    He'll squeeze the brain out of his ears, that's what he'll extract. Pac would get seriously injured.

    I actually believe Freddie looks after Manny, and for me, that is a good thing. If he gets a lot of scratch in the meantime, go for it.

    Who are the two biggest paydays in boxing for Manny......

    (PAUSE)

    Oh, yeah - Hatton and DLH

    Forgive me for being cynical - but Freddie probably wants a nice new motor to impress the local chicks.

    I remember when Roach was considered a rather silent guy who faded into the background and and just did his job as a trainer. Ahhh, those were the days.

    noone knows Pacquiao in terms of boxing as well as Roach, the guy can voice his opinion if he wants to. Arum picking Soto without even contacting Roach was a dumb move. You gotta inform the trainer of his fighter's next opponent in advance.

    I totally disgree. The trainer is paid to strategize and prepare the fighter for the opponent that was selected by the promoter and manager.

    Look at it the other way around. What would you think if the promoter or manager were yelling instructions in the corner over the top of the trainer? You'd say they should keep their mouths shut.

    People have different jobs. Roach is the trainer, NOT the manager or promoter. Selecting opponents is not the role of the trainer.
