Manny Pacquiao over on the scene said he is doing 2,160 sit ups a day to harden his body for Margorito's body attack! Its is impossible to do that many a day! If he is he is over working them! Say what you want but the lies need to stop! He is a Politician though so what do you expect!

More to the point, it's about half an hour's worth of sit-ups at a rigorous pace for someone in decent shape (let alone a world class athlete). That half hour can of course also be broken up throughout the day.

60 sit-ups per minute = good (90 would be "great", around 40 would be "average" for a non-athletic adult).

    2160 divided by 60 = 36 minutes.

I do 3 sets of 5 different variations of crunches by 10 reps. Rest 1min and do that 3 times. Thats 450 in 1 session. 2000 when he dedicates his whole day to training seems perfectly possible.

If you don't believe him go watch his morning workout routine at Park La Brea in Los Angeles. I've watched him do his morning routine and can honestly tell you that much sit ups is regular for him during training camp.

2000 + maybe an exageration. Me and a friend joined my uncle and close family friend (both good friends of Manny and Team Pacquiao) for his early morning jog and situp/crunch session at La Brea Park across the street from his condo in LA this past Saturday. Pac did crunches for about 30-40 minutes at a very fast pace with maybe 2 15 second breaks. We hung out at Pac's condo the rest of the morning.

Its can be done but we are talking daily! The body has to recover at some point in order for it to be affective! Thats a fact!

I can do about 90-100 in one go so I believe Pac can do 2160 if he breaks them up into segments.
