If the judges watched the fight on monitors with the same angles TV viewers get, there would be fewer questionable decisions.

 

If that's the case, don't pretend the judges have the benefit of HD and replay..........Manny 118-110 without the replays of the excellent countering.

I believe the slow motion actually supports the decision the judges scored for each round. I watched the fight on a 65 inch screen and couldn't see some of the punches Pacquiao landed until i saw the slow motion replays. Judges have the best view. Though I can't say they are always right.

Slow motion captures the truth. So does replay. That's why they employ these as new options in other sports like pro football, pro basketball, etc. to change a ruling an official has made in error.

Though it may be impractical to review a whole 12 round fight in slow motion, it does show more detail to what actually took place in the fight and should be of interest to all. Unless that is, some people may be afraid to seek the truth.

i don't understand the objection into rewatching a fight in slo-motion where each punch can be analyzed on its effectivity.

Judges don't have the luxury of slow-motion but on the same note, most posters here don't have the luxury of watching the fight 1 feet away from the ring, in 3-D, real time, and more important, looking up. Infact, they only have the HBO feed as their basis and yet they only see the highlights..

Regular time, slo-mo, or super slo-mo........it does'nt matter Marquez wins the fight everytime.

......and for Gods sake, none of these *******s have watched the whole fight on slo-mo. A fight consist of 12 3 minute rounds, it would take over 10 hours to get through a fight in slow motion.

Can you imagine watching a fight in slow motion?
How would you guage the effectiveness of the punch?
You're not seeing the realtime reaction to the punch by the fighter getting hit.

In slow motion, you also dont get a realistic sense of who's controlling the ring and being the ring general.
You dont get a sense of the realtime speed of the feinting being done to keep the opponent guessing and out of rhythm.

The end result in this schooling by Marquez is the same in any speed, but make no mistake. You cant possibly take in and appreciate whats going on and really happening in that ring unless you look at it in real time speed.
