You can knock a guy down, win every jab exchange, land more meaningful punches and still lose. Funny "sport", and you wonder why UFC has killed boxing. Please ban me, I don't want to be apart of this "sport" anymore.
Laughing is one thing, but I guess if they saw the Huck fight today too, they can not take it serious anymore. There's only a handfull of boxers today left who are worth to watch.
The biggest winner from tonight, apart from Golovkin, is the UFC. Dana White has to be getting drunk with joy over this. You put May-Pac and Kov-Ward in back to back years as like the pinnacle of the sport, and your sport is in serious danger. Just a bad night all around.
Only in amurica it's dying, I'm glad in a way. This card is a shining example of what american promoters have to do to keep their country relevant on the global stage. The UK is now clearly the home of boxing, hopefully international fighters stay away from that corrupted cesspit.
Yes sadly boxing is tarnished and spoiled all for politics and is dying a very slow death due to decisions like what we witnessed tonight.
The uk is no better. There are shameless in their bias towards home fighters to the point referees have carried fighters back to their corners, while if the home fighter wobbles an away fighter, the ref waves it off.
What you saw tonight was a clear case of an American fighter who lost the fight getting the decision by American judges. I'm American and it's disgusting to see. I have more trust in WWE than boxing.
You need to be a yank to be awarded the made up title of p4p king, so even kovalev won by slaughter and he did win anyway, he would never of been given it.
If you showed a newcomer the Huck fight and the Booker fight, they'd have sworn off the sport before it even got to Ward-Kovalev. That would've been a great way to kill any newcomer's interest in a day.
By all means provide some examples where an established star has come to the UK and been robbed. Don't worry I'll wait.
