Bute is an incredible BOXER! I think too many people were harsh on him after his semi contraversal win over Andrade. He clearly was the better boxer where Andrade was a very determined raw fighter who never gave up and it almost paid dividends.....but...it is what it is. He should beat Miranda without much problem...he should control Edison with the jab and superior skills and avoid the one truly great attribute Edison has....his power. But I sometimes get gut feelings that most of the time are WRONG, but on those few occasisions where I go with my gut over logic and I'm right.....boy that is pretty sweet.:smoke Bute is a good ambassador for the sport and he'll be a pretty consistant champion who prabably earns a hall of fame career.....I just think this may be Miranda's night.:think May the best man win!
I got a bit worried when I saw Miranda bowing in front of Bute and praising Bute with so much generosity and sincerity a few weeks ago. I was also a bit worried that Bute would not be motivated enough and that he may be feeling invincible after the Andrade II fight. But lately, reading reports about his training camp and hearing Bute talk made me feel very much at ease. I can't remember the last time I felt less anxious... ...I hope it's not a bad sign... But if it's Miranda's night, he deserves it. Good luck to him. I am not worried about Bute, win or lose. He has confirmed he is a bona fide world champ in the second fight against Andrade, and even if the worst happens tonight, I know he will come back and have a very good career. Most importantly, for me, has has proven his moral qualities sufficiently for me to be proud of him, whatever happens from now on.
100%......Bute has things he can fall back on that are solid and will always be with him....his skills! Edision needs things to happen for him soon if his destiny is to be a World champion. The older he gets the less he'll be able to learn and although his power will always be a problem if it lands, he'll become slower and less likely to be able to capitolize on opening the older he gets. Bute's skills equal a ****ing problem no mater what....like James Toney...even now James is a problem NO ONE really wants to chance. He's not even a legit HW and he can't get a dance partner not b/c he's dangerous, but just too damn difficult.
Bute doesn't only have skills - he has heart, intelligence, and will to win. These three qualities are improving more and faster than his skills are! Against Andrade, once his skills could no longer keep his opponent away, he had to dig deep to survive and then to beat the count. Many skilled fighters wouldn't have managed to last long enough or to beat the count once dropped. When you also consider that Bute is the consummate professional in training and that he prepares very well tactically and mentally, suddenly Bute doesn't simply equate to a skilled fighter like Zab Judah, for example. He will not be that easy to beat, unless, of course, Miranda lands one of those hail-mary punches, but then, as a puncher, he has that chance against everyone! He even hit Ward flush a couple of times. The problem is, not only does he have to land, but he has to land flush and it has to be a big punch. Against a good mover and good counter-puncher like Bute, it's hard to set up that punch and land it, even if you've got it... That's why I think Miranda needs luck to win tonight. And Bute needs to make a mistake - a big one.
His skills are what they are and it's at a very high level. I'm not sure how much better he can get with that.....he can gain high level experience which will take his craft to a new level if he continues to win. His will, heart and determination seem to be there as well. I think he showed alot of that in the first Andrade fight. But outside of that I have t be honest...I havn't seen much of Bute. But i"m impressed. By no means am I telling anyone to use my opinion in placing money on this fight. I know that Bute is the likely winner and that a safe bet is gonna be on Bute taking a UD, but maybe luck is on the side of Miranda and his power finds a home in one of the 12 rounds.
I was thinking that too....but Bute isn't exactly a Abraham kind of puncher...he's more of a clean, sharp puncher and Edison has a good beard.....if Bute gets to that body like he did with Andrade then there is no hope for anyone who takes that kind of shot. But It's a safe bet to put money on Bute wining that is for sure. I just feel somthing telling me to go against the grain on this one.....yet I'm not confident enough to put down any money. I didn't have any kind of vision telling me to go with Edision so I don't think I'll be secure enough to put down some paper.
You calling that that the same thing?? Oh yeah, you're the guy who is claiming Miranda has "NO CHANCE." :rofl Mr. Broadstrokes himself. Which means... ... ... Nothing.
Upsets always happen. I think you should go with your gut feeling if it's a strong one. You don't need to bet at all. Just do a vcash bet, for fun. Bute throws some good combinations to the head; he doesn't need to punch like Abraham to have an effect. And of course, when Miranda gets in close and throws a big over-the-top right that misses, he will be open for the bodyshot...
:rofl Good thing I didn't bet Dece! Bute is quickly becoming a bonifide superstar at 168 for good reason....he's destroying everyone!
