I have a feeling Roy genuinely didn't know who he was. Joe used to talk about Roy regularly though.:huh

That's not what he said recently, he said he knew Joe was a very good fighter and he had "a belt to protect"

Make of that what you will :good

I'd make of that Jones selling the fight. I'm sure when Roy was undisputed champ at 175 he wasn't overly concerned about Joe.

I'm pretty sure this was before the fight was announced. Either way, I can't really argue with somebody that has an insight into the sub-conscious of Roy Jones

Okay, well I never heard him talk about him before recently. Did you?

He had a belt to protect, why get people asking questions! :yep

Either way, Kelly Pavlik hasn't proven much to me yet. Beat Abraham and I'll give him credit.

    Roy had three.:yep :yep :yep

Me neither, he's getting overly hyped like most American fighters these days. Hopkins will put an end to that.

I'm on the Hopkins train of shame for this one. My avatar depends on it, and no doubt I'll get that ***** Hatton on otherwise.

It wasnt that long ago that "the Ring" said he was a protected fighter. His had some decent wins namely Taylor twice and Edison Miranda. Both top contenders at 160. But as usual ESB`s memory is very short.

I think he'd have got to know him if chief rival Bernard Hopkins hadn't pulled out of an agreed fight at the final hour in 2002 :yep

    The final hour :rofl

Warren said Hopkins had agreed to a fight, 2 days later Bernard said the contract was a lot of bullsh*t. It was just more of Warren's crap - no final hour, not even close.

Ahhh the scourge of the British Forum...and heres me thinking my old buddy Sleazy had me on ignore :yep

Anyway, it was a lighthearted dig that does in fact have some basis in fact towards a poster I actually have time for...

So **** off Sleazy :hi: Stick to the Hatton sackswinging getting into an argument with moi only leaves you looking more a tit than you already do

P.S. Love how you have changed the avatar following your boys loss last night. Some fan. ;)
