Enzo Calzaghe just can't keep his mouth shut

The iron man, Mr Chelsea fell over & cried like a girl.

 

My mate was saying the exact same thing the other day. Would have been a travesty to see that **** & his disgusting club lift the European Cup. Thank you Fergie, the true special one.

 

Because they embody everythings thats wrong with the game. Success bought by a crooked billionaire. Arrogant players who think they are more important than the game & with no respect for anyone. They play boring football yet want to be loved by the world. Celebrity obsessed, self righteous wankers like "JT" and "Lamps" epitomise the chav culture unlike players such as Scholes & Giggs who have achieved far more but carry themselves with a quiet dignity that is quickly dying. United's success created their wealth & they play football the right way.

 

I think it's okay to hate them on match day if thats the way you've been brought up but to hate what they stand for would be doing football a disservice. For me the day Ferguson retires will be an incredibly sad one as I think in the future most premiership clubs will be soulless, corporate conglomerates managed by Italian men.

 

That meant to say "Ferguson retires" by the way. It's quite incredible when you think back to when Mourinho was winning his second title with Chelsea things were looking bleak for Ferguson. Now two years on he sits with those two trophies having built another incredible team with lots of potential.

 

Yeah although I think he means it this time. You have to remember Ferguson retiring is not going to be like any other football retirement. It will be like a coronation & he'll have a massive say in who the next manager will be. I think last time backfired a bit because some of the players thought they could take it easy but now he has young, hungry players who will definitely want to taste nights like last Wednesay again. He can't go on forever & 70 seems a good time to bow out.

 

I'm really pleased with the way United done it as well. They were champions last year so they were rightfully in the "champions" league, then they retained their domestic title as well as winning the European cup. You can safely say they are the best team in Europe.

Yes Wenger is overated & I think his arrogance is becoming his downfall. His refusal to sign big name players is becoming detrimental & it all stems from his unbeaten campaign. He thinks he can emulate that again but lacks the foresight to see the game has changed since then even. Unlike Ferguson who's adaptability means he can still connect with people nearly half a century his junior & enjoy success.
