Yeah he maybe didn't have the grit and determination that those 4 possessed. I remember him being outstanding in a few Champion's League games - more his thing.

Fergie gets it right a lot of the time though, Cantona, Ronaldo, Vidic, Rio, Keane, Pallister, Bruce, Irwin, Stam, Cole, Yorke.

The difference between man u and arsenal is that wenger's team is always in a state of rebuilding and bringing on a team for next year. Fergie does this as well but his teams do peak and win trophies. Arsenal are at a massive disadvantage because wenger will not pay 20-30m for a top player he would rather bring in a young unknown who will progress and be good in 2-4 seasons time.

 

Cantona was the big signing for me but more than showing that Fergie made a good signing it showed that Howard Wilkinson was dumb as fck. How da fck did he let Cantona go (and on the cheap) then again he bought fat Thomas Brolin for a bit of money and he did jack ****.

 

Cantona had a long history of being difficult to manage and falling out with managers. He found a 'spiritual home' at United and Ferguson indulged hm. That's the art of man management I guess.

 

Another problem Arsenal have is when players get big they leave seeing Arsenal as not a big enough team and we've seen it time and again

Henry, Viera, Overmars, Petit, Anelka all left to bigger clubs. Each time this happened it knocked Arsenal back 10 steps

 

That is nonsence. He has been a huge success at both Villareal and Atletico Madrid. Don't give me that 'it is easier to score in Premiera Liga crap', Torres never scored more than 14 goals a season there.

 

He is crap, Vinny Samways was a success in Spain so it means very little. Even Steve Archibald and John Aldridge were successful in Spain.

Torres is 1000X a better player than Forlan and I said that even before he came to Liverpool.
