I know he never boxed himself but **** he sounds punch drunk half the time :bbb :nut **** im welsh, but ive got to admit that he talks some ****.
Seems like there's alot of ill will towards Enzo on the forum recently. I think he's cool, a tough little mother****er who never backs down. You want someone like that at the head of your gym.
I don't mind him but he's definitely let the recent fame go to his head a touch. He never used to be this vocal.
I actually quite like Enzo Calzaghe. He is not a bad bloke and you can not take away the success he has had and where he has come from. He is also very entertaining when interviewed, so many of our coaches are nice guys so it is refreshing to hear some body mix it up like the great American trainers. His voice is hilarious, he sounds like he means business and even at his age I would not want to mess with him. You can imagine him been a right handful as a youth.
I think the sudden acclaim may have gone to his head a little but that can happen to anyone. The thing is, it took a long time for anyone to give him the respect that he obviously deserves. Anyway, I like the little ****er.
He just needs to show a little more respect to his fighters opponents. His comments about Haye is the main reason for his loss of popularity.
I think that was just a personal problem with haye. whenever ive seen enzo fighters fight, he always go over to the other corner and chats with the opponents after the fight. can remember when pryce sparked conception clean out and he was the first over there checking to see if he was ok. then again, his fighters normally win so i guess its easier to be that way after victory than defeat.
He's speaking in his second tongue on emotionally charged occasions. I've been known to sound drunk myself when giving a speech in italian.
Enzo M and Gavin R, both handed their asses recently. Calzaghe next. I wonder what boastful Enzo Calzaghe will say then. He recently said he still doesn't rate Haye and no doubt he doesn't rate Kotelnik either.
Second tongue? He didn't know a word of Italian till his mid to late teens according to JC's autobiography.
