If things weren't going your way who would you rather have in your corner to motivate you between rounds. The intelligent, articulate and composed Roach? Or The ranting + raving psycho Calzaghe?
If it was between the two I would say Roach. But I would rather have a trainer that knew me well, and knew what buttons to press.
Agree with Dane......it depends on the fighter. Some fighters respond to hard talk, others respond to soft talk. My i would go for calzaghe as me can be lazy and need a kick up the backside. Each to their own, both top trainers.
I would take the 'jokecoach' roach out of those two. Calzaghe drinks too much of his own koolaid and is starting to believe his fighters can't lose. 0-2 in 08! Great start trainer of the year. Give me a Mayweather anyday. Hell even the one who trained Iggy turned him into a star.
