The board passed Enzo fit to fight, therefor it wasn't IJL's remit to make a decision based on Enzo's past disasters. IJL made the decision with the best of intentions but he made a major **** up.

Anyway, the man is back. WARR ENZO :boxx

completely disagree is one hundred per cent his remit to protect both fighters from anything thats gone on in past especially enzo

Was gutted though thought enzo was far to big a price and had backed him to win at 9/4 if remember correctly. The key part of the fight was the first 4 rounds and given the start he had made he would have been big favourite if got past them four rounds.

Hope enzo can do this in style.

Remember Ian John Lewis was also the guy who let Briggs take a sustained beating against Vitali, even though it was definitely a fight that required the intervention of a good ref. Briggs was too brave for his own good and IJL was out of his depth.

Perhaps that weighed heavily on his mind in the Enzo fight, either way it should not affect his decisions. Enzo was actually defending himself and blocking punches at the time of stoppage.

Now I remember the Frenkel KO... man this was ****ing bad. Also here Enzo was a "victim" of a stuipid ref! letting ENzo fight on after the first knock down was very bad for Enzo.
A pitty that Frenkel has this problems... he would be exciting to watch

I had a bet on McKenzie to win within 3 rounds or something like that, but even though I gained from IJL's actions, I was disgusted with what he did. He's a pathetic referee. British referees are the worst in the world but of all the British referees, nobody is worse than Ian John Lewis. Some of his decisions are so bad, you'd think he was corrupt but I don't think that's the case, I just think he's useless. He's a terrible referee and he's no better as a judge either.

How this can go on is beyond me. Why hasn't a single person at the BBBoC tried doing something about the countless bad stoppages in British boxing?

Aye he know he's dropping a clanger as he's actually doing it with that gormless expression staring blankly into the hole he's just dug for himself, as it becomes too late to back out of it!

I still can't believe IJL didn't just shrug it off and make out he adjudged some minor offence, broke up em up and let em go at is again. He just froze and as every second passed the deeper the hole he found himself in, the twat must be slow as **** mentally.

His work as a judge in the Wayne reed fight and the lynes/Purdy fight are remarkable.

  14. Under any other circumstances I'd say give it up, but you can't deny the lad a decent crack after that last fight.

He deserves to win or be sparked out, he looks like he worked his arse off. Can't believe how well he took it.

I believe when he split the fighters and looked at Enzo he fully expected him to be all glassy eyed and not knowing where he was. When he saw Enzo was ok it completely threw him. If he had let it continue he would have got stick for being indecisive, so he opted to ruin the fight instead.

Although it was a terrible stoppage by IJL, I reckon he probably would have been saving Enzo some point in the fight anyway. He may have had his hands up blocking, but McKenzie was still getting through with some flush shots, which a fighter of Enzo's experience shouldn't have been taking.
