Stupid decision, but whatever. If he slates fans of his for caring about his health and wanting him to retire after 4 punishing stoppages/knockouts, then let him do what he wants. If he wants to get knocked out in brutal fashion again, let him waste his own time, not my problem.

If he passes all medical tests.!! Let the man fight..!!

Keyboard bashers, whether they have forught or not, have no authority over what he, or anyone does, but maybe he should speak to Freddie Roach and see if he thinks he quit early enough?

Its not necessarily today he needs to worry about, but it maybe all of his tomorrows.

the problem is with Big Enzo - he loves to fight - and when you love something its hard to let it go -espcially when you can still top up your bank balance by doing it.

I agree - its no mans authoroity to tell another man what to do.

Ali and Freddie Roach all fought on too long - but it was their choice to do so.

Holyfield - is still fighting on too long - but its his choice to do so.

Enzo has been training / fighting - since he was born really - cos his father is a boxing trainer - in Swansea - and so its all he has ever known.

On the plus side - in all of Enzos losses

    Swaby
    Haye
    Aflobai
    Lebedev
    Frenkel

Apart from maybe the Lebedev fight which only went 3 rounds - he never took a sustained beating in any of the fights for round after round - just got caught with big shots - towards the end of the fight that finsihed him off.

In fact - the probaly the hardest fight of Maccarinellis career when he shipped the most punches - was in a fight he won - the first fight with Mark Hobson was a 12 round war.
