Saw the clip last night, he looked hammered. Look like the worst beating he's ever took in his life had taken place. Any details ?
if you bought the ppv card watch the highlights that are on now ive been told they are goin to show it in about 15 minuites mate
ive just seen the 3rd round on sky and it was sad to see during the round he was gettin battered outboxed out thought and looked out classed and in the ineterview he said he didnt thought he had it anymore it was like one of those tyson interviews late on in his career. altogether a very sad ending to a decent career
Enzo will have to go down as one of the most overhyped boxers ever. He's got so much press, but his record is ****ing terrible when you look at in the cold light of day.
Yeah that sounded like a career ender of an interview. He looked embarrased when admitting he was gunshy. Very sad to watch.
Not too sure saw a video the other day of him against Swaby and to be honest I think the sparring with Joe must have bought him on a shed load. I'm not a massive fan of Enzo Calzaghe as a trainer, but he's a great character and had he continued on his merry way without been undeservedly awarded trainer of the year etc plus making a big deal out of it i'd have sung his praises a bit more. Sadly with great accolade comes great scrutiny and his record doesn't really stand up all too proudly. Enzo moved to Karl Ince, I can see why he may have done that Ince was familiar to him having been in his corner before, but it was a strange move. Ince is largely unproven as a trainer and its ok training Ricky Goddings etc to beat Kristean Laight and Danny Thorpe (good fighters-no disrespect) but i'm a firm believer that anyone with an ounce of knowledge can train a national class amateur to beat a journeyman. The 'amateur' already knows how to fight he just needs to be tightened up and stay fit. The real test comes trying to train a quality fighter to beat a quality fighter. Ince hasn't done that yet so to take a fighter from a draining KO defeat and put him in with a world class opponent was unwise and his choice of trainer was equally bizarre. I'd also heard that a large part of his sparring had been against Chris Johnson and Goddings... Welterweights at best.... Might be wrong but it seems a strange tactic when your opponent isn't a flighty tyoe but a strong pressure fighter. Enzo with the right trainer might have achieved so much more and for me he's done fairly well... he's not had a joke career- he's got some good names and good performances on there.
