Fighter A, thats right, the gimpy looking white fella, is your typical gatekeeper/journeyman/contender type of fighter. He's alright....nothing special though. There are a good few fighters like him.

Fighter B, thats right, the cool looking mutha with all the belts hanging off him, is a unified CW world champion and future HW world champion (fingers crossed).

Fighter B recently mauled the living **** out of Fighter A, proving beyond doubt that he is the superior boxer (most of us knew this already, but Joe Public needed to be convinced).

Fighter B has bigger fish to fry, and couldn't be bothered with another fight with Fighter A because the result is a foregone conclusion. Fighter B is after the big fights and the big money at HW, while Fighter A already sports a cracking pair of jugs at CW and one would be surprised if he moved up to duke it out with the big boys (most of whom would handily dispose of him in the early rounds).

In conclusion, Fighter B has nothing to prove in relation to Fighter A, while the latter should learn to keep his mouth shut and focus his attention on possible opponents that are...how would you put it?...down at his level.

Would you not say he has more of a chance than say....Enzo Mac? More chance than me or you for that matter.

Please expand on this statement; it doesn't make sense.

(2) Yes there is. He's a big punching former CW world champion, who also happens to have a crowd pleasing style. He also has the looks (I'm not gay, just saying it how it is) and the charisma, and he is therefore marketable as ****.

What does this mean. You don't forget about a fighters past just because he has vacated and moved division. Haye will still be fast-tracked due to past achievements.

Haye has a massive advantage over the majority of the HW contenders. It would be stupid to ignore that fact. He can't be that hyped, because he has already achieved so much. I'm not saying he is definitely gonna be HW champ (hence the "fingers crossed" reference) but he has a damn good chance.

The GREAT ENZO MAC couldn't beat him; why should Haye not become HW champ?

Nice to hear you say that mate.

Do you not think though that the fact that he is the former CW world champion, and a massive puncher at that weight, will give him leverage (marketability wise) over the majority of the other contenders up at HW.

If Mike Tyson doesn't know his name then I think that says more about Mike's lack of knowledge of the current game than it does about Haye's lack of exposure. ****, there are guys whose names I know, and whose fights I have watched, who fight exclusively in Asia and are in unfashionable lower weight divisions (John and Hasegawa spring to mind).

At the moment we don't really know how far Haye will go in the HW division; hopefully the Barrett fight will answer some questions for us.

 

I'm not too sure about Vitali yet (wait and see what his comeback is like), but I agree with you that Vlad will give him problems, especially with that jab (of course, Vlad is a bit fragile, both mentally and physically; I think Haye's style would worry him - especially the speed of hand and foot. Vlad sometimes looks petrified when an opponent is throwing punches in his general direction).
