Maccarinelli is not the best cruiserweight. There's several cruiserweights who would surely defeat him, including Cunningham, Kraj, Mormeck, and Adamek.

I think the underrated Firat Arslan, who has an excellent chin and decent boxing skills, would likely beat Maccarinelli.

trouble is no insult against Enzo but it is Frank Warren who protected this guy and fed him oppostion that was average and then threw him straight in with the world no 1 in the division and it was water too deep he drowned inside two rounds. He should have faced a figheter like Cunnigham first to climb his way up a bit. i know he beat Braithwaite but how good was Braithwaite the night he met him he had recenlty got stopped in four rounds by Gurellimo Jones and Enzo might have been flattered by his wide margin win

Enzo was never the number 2 in the world. That was just something made up by Frank Warren to promote the fight. Even British magazine Boxing Monthly had Enzo at about 5.

Cunningham and Arslan are the top CWs at the moment. Macca would rate between 5 and 10, IMO.

I think that's fair...as bad as Enzo got beat last time out, he does have the style to be a problem for almost everyone else out there in the divison at the moment. And a couple could knock him flat, but still, top 5 seems reasonable.

I understood the need to build up the Haye fight but saying that Enzo was #2 in the division was baseless, especially after Cunningham had just went to Germany a few months prior and beaten Huck. Cunningham's resume reads better and he's won his biggest fights on the road.

Other than Braithewaite, who I still contend is shopworn despite his latest big win, Maccarinelli hadn't beaten anyone of substance and was fighting very limited opposition.

Oh absolutely. It was definitely a good win. It made Enzo's win over Braithewaite look more impressive as well.

So if Enzo is real top class how did he get blown away so easily by Haye? I dont mean the chin issue just how was Haye able to nail him so easy? i think he froze if he didnt he could have done alot better

With that chin, the only thing Maccarinelli is gonna clean up is the canvas - with his drool!

No. Haye-Mac is not like a Calzaghe-Kessler or Marquez-Mabuza situation. Not at all.
