Unfortunetly the best champion does not always hold the best title. Some of the current WBO champions are better than the other belt holders. We can not even go with the Ring magazine ratings anymore since Golden Boy bought it.

I believe when he held the WBC title - he was regarded as NO 1 in the division - as in THE MAN TO BEAT. He was unbeaten and knocking people out left right and centre - you looked in boxing magazines at the time and the other champions were rated below him - he was NO 1.

But he lost his title and suffered a couple of defeats but it's still a good scalp for Macca espicially if Braithwaite continues to win more fights

Not many, most of the decent WBO "champs" gained recognition alongside one of the three proper belts. Have a look for yourself. Regardless of how good they are they would had to have beaten different people to get their belts as well which is also a factor that needs to be considered.

That wont happen. His promoter is Frank Warren. Until that changes his not going anywhere. Bearing in mind his career ledger means absolutely bugger all on a world stage and this further compounds my lack of belief in him. The biggest names on his record to date is a shot Wayne Braithwaite who took him to 12 and Haye who he lost too in a blink. Nice guy or not Macca`s not going anywhere fast. He`s just another typical Warren fighter.

What do you expect? Theres plenty of Brit guys on this forum who like myself as hardcore fans have had to suffer way too much crap just to get a few gems and its been mostly Franks fault as his stifled British boxing immensely over the years. As much as his contributed his given very little back. Frank is nothing more than a shrewd business man. He doesnt give a crap about the fans or what we want.

For years we had to watch Hatton make umpteen defences of the WBU on SKY. I PAID FOR THAT.Remember all those WBU defences by journeymen we hardly heard of on SKY? yeah i PAID FOR THAT TOO. All the big PPV`s moved to SKY aswell. I PAID FOR THAT. We watched Joe win the WBO from Eubank I PAID FOR THAT. We then saw him try and set up Enzo vs Ezra Sellers. That bout was so bad the BBofC wouldnt even sanction it. And what did we get instead? Enzo vs Bobby Gunn. Who the **** was Bobby Gunn?!?!? And remember this was all under the auspices of "world class" boxing.Frank Warrens not a promoter he`s a **** taker.

    Warren is a **** taker

Complain about lack of quality opponnets - he will set up a extra poor bum for his fighter - just to show you he can do what he likes

Frank's game is to milk the British public consistenlty

Warrens Sports Network Policy is never to put his fighter in a fight unless he is confident they will win

50/50 fights are a no no

He paid Haye alot of money to effectvely buy Enzo a chance to become Undisputed Champion over a weight weakened Haye - it backfired badly.

Amir Khan is the next one to be fully protected

Just think in all them years Warren had Naz he never made the Barrera fight and then Naz leaves Warren and the Barrera fight gets sorted in a couple of years later - Naz loses - 50/50 fight going in - Warren would not make it

Warren is more scared than his fighters of losing - because it will hit Warren where it hurts most £££££££ - in the pocket

Yup the ethics of a businessman and nothing else. He makes his fighters and himself easy money.

David Haye said on the eve of their fight that Enzo Maccarenelli is "mentally weak"

other people have said they suspect this too

I am a bit confused by this statement as Haye or anybody else has never gone into further detail when they say this

what specifically did Haye mean when he said "mentally weak"

I think David Haye was suggesting that he was 100 per cent certain he would win the fight, while Enzo was nowhere near as confident.

Saw him shopping the other day with his missus and one of the kids. He has the skinniest legs ever.

    Thanks for your insight

I have always wondered what Haye meant by that "mentally weak" comment

he made the comment just after the weigh in of their fight on the friday night

I seen Maccarenelli around Swansea City Centre on numerous occassions

I also seen him in his car a few times

    He is local lad

    From the Gendros area

He has done well for a local fighter

think of it he is from Swansea - it's a nothing place really

when David Haye was growing up he was down in London probaly sparring with the likes of Danny Williams - its a more big time place

Swansea is just a small town

Who is Enzo gonna spar with

One of the boys from the Gatehouse Pub:lol:

London is on a whole different level

Enzo is Swansea's first ever World Champion

But Haye was a higher level on the night
