He walks around at 190, and always looks slightly flabby in fights - the disparity between him and Haye is astonishing. So assuming he could boil down to 175 (I think its a possibility) how do you think Enzo does at LH? Personally, I think he's too tall and too powerful for most of them out there, except maybe BHop.
I don't see why he can't boil down - perhaps a couple of catchweight fights would tell us - maybe one at 190, then 185, and go for it. He always made 190, comfortably, so why not?
I know - I like Enzo, and I think if he can boil down, and it doesn't affect his speed, then his power would prove too much for a lot of LH boxers out there.
He bulks up to make 200 - he walks around at 190 - 15lbs would not be a massive stuggle for him I think.
He's better off at CW where his speed counts for more; at LHW there are quite a few faster guys with a better chin. Not sure how much power he would have at LHW anyway...
Probably a bit too much of a gap for him to boil down to. The claims of him looking flabby vs Haye is a bit overstated I think, Haye looked like he was carved by Michaelangelo (or one of the ninja turtles anyway) so there's no way to compare with that.
no he walks around at 198lbs and usually gets down to 196lbs and helooke in shape to me . thats the mould of the guy he would never be able toget downto light heavy. and if he did he'd be severely weakened
Enzo wouldnt be able to make 75. Making weight isnt as easy as it seems when you take into account his body type. His quite tall and has a fairly dense bone structure. That being said he made 190 VERY comfortably with room to spare. What he could do with is a solid weights regime to augment his power even more. He would certainly see benefits from it. Problem is Enzo Calzaghe is one of those stupid trainers who doesnt believe in weights.
