Being undisputed at crusier has nothing the do with beating Haye. Haye has left the division, Enzo should be judged on who he fights and beats in that divsion.

His power troubles any Cruiserweight and a confident Maccarinelli beats any current belt holder.

he will beat any belt holder? his power will trouble any cruiserweight? Based off what mate? who has he fought in the top 10 to make that statement relevant? I don't see one world class win on his record. braithwaite is his best win, and ill say that is a solid win but it dosent tell me that he has a chance of beating adamek. He would probobly get KOED from what ive seen of his chin. He looks like a guy who can dish out power but he cant take it. Dosent look too good for him if he gets in a war with adamek mate

Braithwaite is a very good win, the KO of Hobson was very impressive albeit against a domestic level guy, but he has excellent power......more than enough to trouble the other CWs

Banks wasn't world class and got beat easily by an ex LHW who Chad Dawson dropped......

The Swaby loss was before he joined Team Calzaghe and David Haye is a class operator.....

I'd favour him over the other guys.....Cunningham has lost to worse guys than Braithwaite and Enzo himself over in Europe not long ago, and was dropped way too many times by Adamek

Flores, Huck, Arslan, Banks etc are nothing special

He can conceivably become a dominant CW champion because there is nobody special out there.

Cunningham is the best boxer, Adamek the toughest but guys like Mormeck, Fragomeni, Jones and Bell are old, Haye is at HW, Flores and Banks are nothing special

    Those are my reasons.....

Lets not overhype Adamek to levels he hasn't yet reached.....

Cunningham was boxing his ears off but he can't take a decent shot and blew his chances of winning. Banks was a statue waiting to be stopped and Chad Dawson beat him easily.

There's a reason Hopkins is willing to fight him, even up at 180 lbs.....

you say lets not hype adamek up to levels he has not reached,
    while you hype up macca....

I say that macca is probobly a top 3 contender based on his raw talent alone. But lets be honest, he is not a skilled operator, he does not like to take big shots, and i dont see him outboxing any top opponents. What he does have going for him is great power and an incredible heart. Which are invaluable at the world level.

Adamek is a 2 weight champ who won his lighheavy title vs a ex muay thai world champ, lost it to a guy who is still undefeated (top 2 of his division), and won his cruiser title against an established champion who was widley recognized as the #2 guy in the division before haye(the real champ) left. Barring the banks fight (which in my opinion proves very little) he has proven himself much more at world level than macca. Macca's claim to glory is winning a vacant title left by johnny nelson (who would have probobly outboxed macca in his prime) against some no namer. He has cleaned up the domestic scene, but the uk dosent exactly have a strong history in the cruiser divisoin (until haye that is).

However, id still say the fight would depend on certain variables. If adamek can take macca's power (thats a huge IF), then its lights out for macca. Who does not like being pressured and dosent fight well off the back foot.:bart

ok now i actually saw your reasons, and i agree that it is possible for macca to become champ. But he needs to start fighting higher quality opposition RIGHT NOW. Since his loss to haye (which was only a 2 round fight), he has done absolutley nothing.... He isnt going to get world class skills fighting fringe contenders...... He has the talent, but whenever i see him fight, he looks like an unskilled slugger at heart trying to force himself to a very basic boxing gameplan

I agree, and he's at it again with this next opponent, shamelessly talking him up and making out if he wins than he's top of the pile again at cruiser. He had a seriously padded record and is a journeyman with a glass jaw.

Enzo is a solid boxer with a good punch plus he is pretty damm big for the weight. No one really stands out at cruiser at the moment but Adamek is the one to beat. Pretty poor but competative division.

I think Ademek would lose to Enzo. He hasn't been punched by anyone with his power and would certainly get caught with something big within the first few rounds.

Would Ademek be THE man in the cruiser division just a couple of years ago? I think Haye, Braithwaite, Bell and Enzo would all have beat him.

Jones and Fragomeni are winnable fights for Enzo. They seem to be bigging up Adameck in the states. If hopkins wins a fight with Adameck he might see Enzo as a way to lure Calzaghe out of retirment.

That'd make for a very interesting 12 months.

Does nobody else think that for such a hammer-hitter, Enzo leaves an awful lot of his very poor opponents perfectly lucid?

Furthermore, the Braithwaite I saw fight Enzo was garbage.

Different nights, different fights, he looked completely uncompetitive against Enzo. I'm not saying I think this is what happened, but when a fighter you know can do a lot better puts in such a weak performance, I can't help wandering if money's changed hands.

The Dominguez fight prooves Enzo is BIG puncher. Juan Carlos Gomez and Nikolai Valuev failed to stop him.
