Wayne Braithwaite and Marcelo Fabian Dominguez were both WBC champions and top fighters

Dominguez was a crazy little Argentinian former world champion, who Nikolai Valuev at heavyweight couldn't stop despite having about a 2 and half feet height advantage lol , yet Enzo stopped him.

Wayne Braithwaite was huge puncher and top fighter, former world champion who Enzo stopped impressively. In his very next fight after Enzo, he Ko'd Yoan Pablo Hernandez .. Hernandez then went on to have quite a long reign as world champion.

I rate those two wins highly ^

Mark Hobson and Ovill Mckenzie were good wins too.

because his best 2 wins weren't 'American' names or in a glamour division like welterweight. Those wins over two proven top fighters who had heavy hands, are forgotten about or dismissed.

Yet Khans wins over feather fisted average fighters like Alexander, Algieri, Malignaggi get mentioned as good wins by some lol, the same people won't even know who Braithwaite and Dominguez are.

Enzo was decent, although he's remembered more for the fights he lost than the ones he won, which is a shame. The Kucher defeat was hard to watch, he was crying after, I really felt for him as he always seemed like a lovely bloke.

You are right..ive always liked Enzo and he definitely doesn't get the respect he deserves.

I remember hia fight with Haye like it was yesterday, I swear I even thought Enzo would win...I think the beating that Haye gave him is all what people really remember of him unfortunately.

Yeah won't lie that was upsetting. .I could feel his pain that night. I know a couple of people who have worked with Enzo and they have nothing but nice words to say about the man

He always came to fight and I got nothing but respect for him.

Braithwaite was a solid win. He also sparked a prime Roy Jones Jr.

Enzo was looking like beast before the Haye fight, he had P4P type power, the odds were 50/50 and like most I genuinely thought it was a 50/50 fight at the time.

Yet people talk like he's another David Price/Audley.

It's a shame how it all went downhill from the Haye fight onwards really ( with a few wins here and there)

The first Hobson fight was a cracking fight to watch. The Braithwaite fight was Enzo's best performance, he was at his peak in that fight.

Whilst he had some very solid wins before Haye and was a worthy champion you can't expect to take part in world title fights against the likes of Gunn and Azzaoui and think it's reasonable preparation for Haye; it ended up being an enormous step up when Enzo should have been at that level.

I remember Enzo Calzaghe talking about him possibly fighting O'Neill Bell after one fight, or even having a crack at heavyweight. The latter may always have been fanciful but the former would have been great. Some decent operators at cruiser back then; Mormeck and Cunningham too.

If I remember correctly Warren tried to get Ezra Sellers over for a fight but the board knocked it back. I think Enzo really suffered from cheap matchmaking.

I remember thinking he would win too, mainly because he had Enzo Calzaghe in his corner. When I think of that fight I always remember the blows when Enzo was down, the shots that finished the fight and still think Hate was very lucky not to be DQ.

Haye didn't hit Enzo when he was down.

That was poor refereeing. It's a knock down if the only thing that keeps you up is the ropes, the referee never stepped in to call it and Haye gave him a pasting.

Don't think it would have mattered in the long run, Haye couldn't miss with those right hands all night.

He was the very definition of a glass cannon. Very decent skills, big punching power, but couldn't take the (then weak) division's big guys' power. The ancient Jones fight was an absolute gimmick, two past it glass cannons against eachother one very far removed from his prime, the other still somewhat decent... Almost a highlight reel KO guarantee, which we got of course.

He's not another Audley or Price of course, but he definitely wasn't a high level beltholder either.

Had a good career, hopefully made good money and is happy in retirement.

Personally I’d rate him higher than Tony Bellew, as an example. Though maybe fairly similar.
