Needed more than the same name, needed to be related. Got the second class treatment. He was only nearing 29 and had years more to fight cans and handpicked opponents if he had (only) been. He got his past-peak on the decline Eubank at almost 27 years of age which gave some legitimacy to his recently acquired WBO title (defending at home against a sliding Braithwaite who was coming off a tough loss to Mormeck and a TKO4 by Guillermo Jones) but was supposed to be spending a decade milking the title facing only the equivalent of Will "Kid" McEntyre, Mario Veit, Miguel Jimenez, or Tocker Pudwill until forced into a risky fight by public opinion or his alphabet (as if) not going after David Haye.

You get thrown in with a better athlete/talent than yourself that is in his prime (Haye) and you can get permanently damaged. That's no way to keep a pristine chin. They ignored the formula and screwed Big Mac. Now everyone is wrecking him.

Poor Enzo, took a lot of courage to fight this guy but he's lost his confidence since Haye. Once that's gone you're an accident waiting to happen. Enzos face took some punishment judging by the photos.

yea i was one after the enzo fight, i had a few to many and argued on here that haye could do that to wlad , i did have a drink or to though

After turning up for the Haye fight with ***** tits wobbling all over the place, no wonder he got battered, and he hasn't been the same since.

enzo is a decent guy and i feel sorry for him.
he is officially shot and needs to retire,
and for those who doubt whether he should of been a champ in the first place ,then i would like to see you at the receiving end of one of enzo`s super powerful punches.

I think there is some justification for this. Sure, Khan was facing another handpicked light-hitter, but he didn't get taken out. Maccarinelli's chin is absolute garbage. Clearly, he simply doesn't have the whiskers for this game.

 

Feel sorry for big mac, he has the offensive tools, but a leaky defence, I think the main problem is he lost some belief in himself after the Haye fight, even if he hasnt admitted it. That lack of belief can destroy a boxer. Wish him all the best whatever he does, but i think he should hang the gloves up in the interest of his health and safety.
