Hide is doing ok for himself in Germany and although he is mainly just keeping busy he has looked decent and easily able enough to cause the top cruisers huge problems. Enzo is not a real top 10 cruiserweight and is only thought to be because it makes Haye look better. Both fighters are gate keepers.
Controversial views on Maccarinelli mate - I suppose the proof will be in the pudding over the next couple of years.
Because Tyson served his punishment, Hide is wanted in connection with knife crime I believe. I don't think anyone with a **** conviction or other violent crime should be allowed into the UK - **** all this human rights bollocks, leave the EU if necessary! I wouldn't see Enzo having the ticker to fight in Germany, too many horror stories of other fighters getting stitched up by hometown judging - though is it any worse than Italy??
Yes thats right, Hide is like the Ginger Bread man and keeps running from the trouble. He is safe from the tax man in Germany. Hide Wiki : In 1999, Hide was declared bankrupt by a British court after failing to pay various bills. However, eyebrows were raised when, around that same time, Hide informed a reporter that he had left £8000 next to a lamp in his training camp and that, when he returned, the money was on fire. British court officers were understandably puzzled and demanded to know where the money had come from. (It is not known what Hide's response was.) Hide has also been arrested on multiple occasions. In December 2003, after being attacked by six men and hit over the head with a bar stool in a This content is protected night club, Hide was approached by police officers in a nearby parking lot. Upon being approached, he suddenly set off running, discarding a knife with ten-inch blade as he did so. This resulted in his subsequent arrest and conviction for "possession of a bladed article." He was fined nearly £1000 for this offense. In September 2004, Hide was again arrested for repeated failures to attend court hearings concerning assorted driving-related offenses. He had been charged with driving a This content is protected with no insurance on May 15, 2003 and driving a This content is protected with no insurance and no This content is protected on June 18 of the same year. Hide had denied all of those charges. He was scheduled to attend the ensuing court hearing in January 2004, but failed to do so. The hearing was then rescheduled at least three times in the following two months, but Hide failed to surface on those dates as well. In March 2004, he was convicted of all the charges. Hide's solicitor Ian Fisher told the court that he had no idea why his client had not appeared. He has run into troubles more recently in his homeland Nigeria This content is protected . In terms of non-boxing interests, Hide is a supporter of This content is protected and has been officially greeted at This content is protected on many occasions.
Enzo would **** himself if he had to fight Hide. He would not be able to put his jab out at all. Enzo has never beaten a top 20 fighter and I doubt he will make an impression on the top 10 unless Warren sets him with another series of non fights.
Braithwaite was hardly top 20 standard at that fight and still is only on the edge of those rankings. His win over Hernandez was both shocking and surprising. Braithwaite is the only decent name Enzo has on his record and I would say that the faded version of Braithwaite we saw is not going to cause a major ripple in the division.
Hide would have demolished Enzo a few years back. Even now id say he has a chance as he still has good power so i would say its a 50-50. Personally its pretty obvious that Hide is way past his best and to be honest Enzo just isnt that good. Both will be starched the minute they step up again.
Bear in mind that Hide has only ever been KO'd at heavyweight, and is unbeaten at Cruiser. In his prime, Hide would KO Maccarinelli no problem, but now I see it as a 50 50 fight as well. Would love this though - bring it on :happy and the build up would be great. :good
His chin was so bad at heavyweight, it will still be bad at cruiserweight. He may be unbeaten so far, but only because of the low grade opponents he's been fighting. Herbie Hide gets starched by most decent cruisers in my opinion. I don't even give him a puncher's chance against Enzo.
