Pre-Kovalov this fight was a pipe dream, but now it is the best logical comeback pre-Xmas in Swansea. It should be a 3-4 round war with Nathan coming back with a KO, national pride and a belt. 1 more fight and he can look for World honours again. Enzo as an exWorld Champ at a higher weight still keeps the prestige
Seen this mentioned a lot...has nobody actually bothered to watch Enzo? He is so washed up and useless he doesn't deserve to share a ring with Clev.
Yep, but low risk for Cleverley and high reward in terms of the Welsh derby against an exChamp Enzo would relish proving doubters wrong
I think Enzo is too dangerous for a comeback fight for Clev, the punch is the last thing to go and Enzo has clearly got his. Lets be honest, the stoppage loss againts Mckenzie was disgraceful and he took some big shots on saturday night and stood up to them all. The Frenkel loss was three years ago and apart from blowing away Light Heavyweight bums and the first Mckenzie fight which was ridicolous, Enzo has come through his onky test at 12 stone 7.
i wouldn't complain about this fight, would sell in Wales where Clev needs to fight and would be a decent fight while it lasted.
Before saturday everyone would of said this was a mismatch. Now after one defeat to potentially the worlds number one we are all (me included) questioning wether clev can beat a british-euro level fighter.
Thats a good post. One defeat for one and a win for another and many opinions suddenly shift. I wondered a while back (before Nathans loss) if this fight would be straight forward as I wonder if they both think of when they sparred and who was the stronger back then and if they would carry those thoughts into the ring?
Yeah i think if people have had wars in the gym it will always affect the mindset going into a real fight. But as i said i think Enzo is too dangerous as a comeback fight for Clev, i honestly think Maccrenelli hits alot harder then Bellew
