According to fightnews the Enzo - Sellers fight has been called off as the local boxing commision wont sanction the fight.

It also says a seasoned veteren was called upon to take Sellers place but wouldnt do it due to the **** money on offer and ridiculous option Warren wanted.

Could end up being a no-go night for Enzo by the sound of it.

It will be better for his career to fight nobody rather than Sellers.

I'm glad this fight is off but the sad thing is that Sellers would probably have been Maccas strongest opponent yet (or at least in the top two or three).

This is a great day for boxing. It's great to see the commission take a stand here. The juxtaposition of a legitimate world title fight (Calzaghe/Kessler) and a terrible one (Sellers/Maccarinelli) was just too much. I hope Maccarinelli gets nothing out of the whole deal and loses a payday for trying to fight an undeserving challenger under the banner of being a world championship bout. This is great news.

It was a farce of a fight and you have to give the local commision credit for sticking it right up them for trying to get away with this ****.

All being said the commision is doing what the WBO should have done in the 1st place!!

Enzo needs to grow some balls, drop that WBO title and fight some decent fighters.

and yet this same commission ???? let warren have bobby gunn as an opponent for a world title fight .

i looked up bobby gunn on boxing rec when that fight was announced in july and there were 17 other uk cruiserweights ahead of gunn on the boxing rec rankings, which means gunn would not have qualified for a british title fight at cruiser , yet he got a world title shot.

The Welsh BBBOFC probably don't want to make the Gunn mistake again and are refusing to sanction a mismatch this time.

To be fair, him fighting Calloway might be better than Sellers. Not a lot better, but...

GOOD! This was an insult of a fight, where someone could've been seriously hurt. If Calloway wont do it, then that leaves only one option, the option that Warren darent take...
