Okay, so little card update: Ramírez vs. Richards (the main event) is postponed due to Richards suffering appendicitis.

The rest of the show goes on, with the bill now topped by Mehmet Nadir Ünal vs. Altin Zogaj and Dmitry Sergeevich Asanov vs. Carlos Javier Ramos Espinoza.

 

That was going to be my pick too.

I'm going to leave the RBR title as-is for a few hours, so people can find their way in and read about the change (whereas if they see Ünal-Zogaj and Asanau-Ramos they might not assume it's the same card they're looking for)

 

Well for the last month that would have been me.

 

Keven Beausejour just stopped Petr Strnad in the second round of a scheduled four at light heavyweight. This was Beausejour's sophomore outing after winning his pro debut via KO1 in December.

 

Next up is Canada's current biggest blue chip prospect IMO.

 

Wyatt Sanford vs. Alexis Gabriel Camejo, 6 rounds @ lightweight

 

Round 1

Sanford rolling out the southpaw jab, feinting with it and using it to check the left jab of Camejo. Sanford is keeping the Camejo jab from leaving the hangar and now zapping him on the nose with reach-in straight left hand leads. Sanford catches a body shot attempt on his forearms and drives Camejo into the ropes with a left uppercut. Camejo dipping to either side, looking for a good angle. Sanford again drives him into the ropes, with a series of straight lefts. Camejo shells up and gets bashed on the crest of the mohawk with a right hook. Camejo backs up and barely gets his gloves up in time as Sanford launches a sudden 1-2 at the head.

Could have been waved off a few times in R3 as Sanford cornered his man and teed off.

Camejo is game but just completely outmatched across the board (speed, workrate, accuracy) - even concentrating mostly on defense he's getting hit a lot.

Trois-zéro.

 

So this is kind of weird...Camejo has only ever been stopped once, but it was by Martín Orlando Rocha who is 9-24-3 and has only ever stopped one other opponent besides Camejo.

Meanwhlie the likes of Dmitry Asanau, Neri Ariel Cruz Romero, and Jhon Orobio have all been carried the distance in victories over Camejo without so much as knocking him down.

I can't tell whether or not expectations ought to be for Sanford to get rid of him.
