When I see David Haye, I see a part of me, a beast that I created. So im going to go back, and destroy that piece of me. EVERY SECOND OF EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY ROUND. TRUSSSSS. YES HE CAN
"The majority of the British public aren't boxing fans, they're Audley fans.” - Audley Harrison, 2010
''When i first turned pro, every1 said oh Audleys a powder puff puncher. Hes a powder puff puncher. But now all of a sudden your all like oh Audleys got a punchers chance!''
You know, when this all started, I was hoping for Audley to give Haye a rough go, and kinda bring Haye back down to earth a little bit..... but deep down I wanted Haye to win to keep the division alive with hope for a Wlad showdown. However, Audley has really started to grow on me, and with the history of these two, and with Haye acting like such a dickhead, I am geniunly rooting for Harrison. Ya, it will suck a little bit to have the showdown I want to see so badly get tossed aside, and Wlad wont get that defining win he needs, but it would be worth it at this point just about. Audley is funny, good spirited, and the underdog, cant help but pull for the guy.
i know exactly how you feel kirk. I think the realisation hit me a few weeks ago that Haye wont fight Wlad! Especially all the **** he was saying about retiring at 31. As soon as that hit me i really started to genuinely genuinely WANT Audley to do it. Not only to shut Haye up. But also for himself. He is one of the most honest chaps in boxing and it seems all the hard times he faced have humbled him. Also if Audley does win, can you imagine the build up and trash talk leading up to a showdown with the Klitschko's
